Work with shared documents while offline

Docs can provide an offline copy when the connection is temporarily unavailable.

Steps

1. Open the document before the connection fails when possible.

2. Continue in the offline copy when the app offers it.

3. Save your changes in the offline state.

4. Restore the connection.

5. Return to the document.

6. Confirm that the saved version is current.

Avoid editing the same document on several devices while offline. If changes conflict or do not return, keep your local copy and contact support.
