Create notebooks, import files, and scan pages

Notes supports blank notebooks, lined notebooks, file imports, PDFs, and device scanning when the device supports it.

Steps

  1. Open Notes.

  2. Select Create notebook.

  3. Choose blank or lined paper.

  4. Import a supported file or scan a page when needed.

  5. Save the notebook.

Review the notebook type before you start. A scan depends on device camera and scan support.

  • Device-only notebooks versus cloud notebooks

  • Reorder, draw on, and export notebook pages

  • Troubleshoot document or notebook sync
