AP Seminar is the first course in the AP Capstone program, designed to develop students’ skills in research, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. Students investigate real-world issues from multiple perspectives, analyze sources for credibility and relevance, and construct well-reasoned arguments. The course includes both individual and team projects, culminating in presentations and evidence-based essays. Through inquiry and reflection, students learn to ask meaningful questions, evaluate information critically, and communicate their ideas clearly. AP Seminar lays the foundation for college-level research and is excellent preparation for AP Research and other advanced academic work.
